Brookdale Senior Living Richmond West End

Brookdale is among the leading providers of Alzheimer’s and dementia care in the United States. Their Clare Bridge Crossings Program seeks to “... embrace the latest research in dementia care..." and generate daily moments of success for residents while supporting their unique needs.” This program “...is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach focused on sustaining feelings of belonging and purpose while seeking to preserve identity and a sense of self.”

The Richmond West End project involved phased renovations of the existing 22,000 SF per floor 3-story facility to create a “Crossings” community of 26 Resident Units for early stage/transitional Memory Care. It also included various common areas, activity and support spaces such as a Country Kitchen, Serving Kitchen, Dining and Resident Laundry, all used for both practical needs and as an activity for residents, along with many other staff support areas.
