"Nature itself is the best physician." – Hippocrates
Today, we know this ancient wisdom is backed by modern science: access to natural environments can significantly enhance patient outcomes, reduce stress, and support the healing journey. With this in mind, Russell Medical has taken a meaningful step forward in patient-centered care by creating a dedicated space for peace and reflection—the Pearl Serenity Garden.
Strategically located near the Cancer Center, this garden serves not only as a therapeutic refuge but also as a symbol of community, compassion, and hope. Designed by Grady Black of TRO JB, the garden honors Bruce and Brandy Pearl for their ongoing commitment to individuals and families facing the challenges of cancer.
The realization of the Pearl Serenity Garden was made possible by the generous gift of Walt and Ginger Woltosz, with the additional support of Rick & Kara Kaldrovics, Lake Martin Dock Co, ProScapes Outdoor, and TRO JB. It stands as a powerful testament to what can be accomplished when philanthropy, vision, and healing design come together.
A heartfelt thank-you to Russell Medical for the continued trust in our collaboration. And if you look just beyond the treeline, you’ll catch a glimpse of the Benjamin Russell Center for Advanced Care—another transformative project we’re honored to help bring to life. Celebration for that one is just around the corner!
